Betting terms

Who can play

• 18 or older. You confirm your age before your first bet.
• Where it's allowed. Online betting is restricted or illegal in many countries and states. Only play if it's legal where you are; that's your responsibility.
• Your own wallet. You sign in with a wallet you control. One person, one account.

The game and the odds

• You pick one seat at a table of 2 to 10 flies and stake $FLYAI on it. Each fly's real connectome decides whether it squeezes a toy gun's trigger or flies off; one of six chambers holds the cap. The last fly at the table wins.
• Every seat is equally likely to win. The flies' brains get independent random seeds and the first shooter is a random seat, so with n flies your seat wins 1 time in n.
• A win pays your stake × n × 0.95: 2 flies pay 1.9×, 5 flies 4.75×, 10 flies 9.5×. The 5% is the house edge. A loss costs your stake.
• The live limits (smallest and biggest bet, the most you can bet in a day, the biggest single win) are shown next to the bet button.

Provably fair

Before you bet, the server shows the hash of a secret seed (the commit). Your browser adds its own seed. Everything random in the game comes from the two together. When the game is over the server reveals its seed: its hash must match the commit, and replaying the game from both seeds must give the same turns. The Verify this game button does both checks on your own fly brains, in your browser (Chrome gives bit-identical results; other browsers may round the brain's maths differently).

Your balance

• Deposits are $FLYAI transfers from your signed-in wallet to the fly.ai deposit address on Robinhood Chain. They're credited once the transfer is mined.
• Winnings go to your balance. Your balance is held by fly.ai on your behalf and is the same balance compute orders use.
• Withdrawals are requested on the page and sent to your wallet by hand, usually within a day.
• If the server can't finish a game, the game is void and your stake goes back to your balance.

Limits, pauses and changes

• Betting can pause by itself for a while if the house has lost a lot in a day, and it can be switched off. Balances and withdrawals keep working.
• We may change these terms, the limits or the edge for future bets. A bet placed is settled under the terms it was placed under.
• We can refuse or void bets that abuse bugs, and close accounts used for fraud.

Play responsibly

Only bet what you can afford to lose. $FLYAI's price moves, so a balance can be worth more or less later. There's no guarantee of any return. If betting stops being fun, stop.
